The China Franchise Summit 2008, the first of its kind in China's Franchise industry, has represented an international arena for Chinese and overseas businesses with an interest in China's franchise development. Greatly supported by the government, this event has been developed and organized as a response to the newly released "One Regulation and Two Measures" ("Regulation on the Management of Commercial Franchise Operation", "Administrative Measures on Information Disclosure of Commercial Franchise", "Administrative Measures on Archival Filing of Commercial Franchise"). Hosted and organized by Duxes Business Consulting Inc, China Franchise Summit was held on April 10 -11, 2007 in Beijing, at the Kuntai Royal Hotel China.
One of the objectives of the summit was that of helping foreign franchisors enter or expand in the China market by developing a good understanding of China's new franchising policies, laws and regulations by communicating face to face with government officials from Ministry of Commerce, etc.  It could also be considered as a platform for businesses to explore partnership and other investment and business opportunities with their Chinese counterparts and prospects. Showing great interest in the event, many industry leaders have already confirmed their participation.  Among such major players were Subway, TNT, Intercontinental, Yum, Home Inn, Hilton, Kumon etc.
