Counting over 10,000 visitors 2008 Franchising & Trade show succesfully closed its doors the 20th October and was totally renewed this year: organised, by Fiera Milano Expocts in collaboration with RDS Consulting, the show was held, as usual, in the fieramilano-Rho trade fair complex from 17 to 20 October. This 23rd Franchising & Trade show in Milan represented a point of reference in Italy for the launch of new brands and business development, and attracted participants from all around the world. There were three major new features this year. Firstly, Matching Programme: franchisors, potential franchisees, buyers and sellers can schedule targeted meetings on a pre-planned agenda, meanwhile visitors can pre-register online creating also a customised visit plan by providing all the required information concerning their own profiles. Another exciting new addition is the Green Lifestyle Shop (shop of the future - promoted by Fiera Milano Expocts in partnership with Sole 24 Ore Business Media), a working store covering over 500 square metres featuring eco-friendly products, recycled materials, renewable energy sources. Also, underwear made of recycled materials, eco-friendly jogging shoes, eco-flooring, low-energy IT systems and power saving systems are just a few of the innovations seen for the first time in Italy at F&T. 3) F&T’s marketing plan has also been further strengthened thanks also to a new addition to this year’s marketing programme, that is, the direct marketing, with invitations and regular info bulletins sent to a mailing list of more than 150,000 contacts in franchising and commerce, in collaboration with associations, institutions and public agencies involved in the sector. International development was another F&T main objective: this year China, Malaysia Singapore, US and Europe were welcomed to the fair. Infofranchising.it plaid the role of Media Partner of the expo also this year.
